We’re excited to be supporting the transport planning and drainage strategy for Owens Farm, a proposed development of up to 315 new homes near Hook on behalf of Wilbur Developments.
Our work includes preparation of a Flood Risk Assessment, Drainage Strategy, Transport Assessment, Framework Travel Plan, pre-application Drainage Report and Transport Assessment Scoping Report, and a walking, cycling and horse-riding assessment (WCHAR).
This work has involved analysing traffic patterns, forecasting future demand, and helping design safe, efficient access arrangements for all road users. We’ve also focused on improving walking, cycling and public transport links to connect the development with the surrounding community. A sustainable drainage strategy has been designed which will be fully incorporated in the housing layout.
It’s rewarding to contribute to a project that balances much-needed housing delivery with well-planned, sustainable transport solutions and we are pleased to have collaborated with Corstorphine & Wright on this project.
