Transport Planner

CAD Technician

We are currently looking for a CAD Technician, with 1-3 years experience in the industry, to join our expanding team.

​The role provides an opportunity to be involved in a variety of diverse transport related projects, from small residential schemes, to large mixed use developments.

 

The duties will include the following:

  • Working collaboratively with the team to deliver accurate highway design drawings such as access layouts and highway improvement schemes.

  • Pedestrian and cycle isochrone plans.

  • Swept path analysis using AutoTRACK software.

  • Review accessibility data relevant to the site in question.

  • Review and interpret collision data.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Applicants should be proficient in AutoCAD design software, with 1-3 years’ relevant experience.

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office. 

  • A working knowledge of the DMRB, MfS and TSRGD is beneficial. 

  • Excellent communication skills, to liaise with colleagues and clients.

  • Ability to work within a team and also able work under own initiative. 

  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workload.

We are currently looking for a Transport Planner, with 1-3 years’ experience in the industry, to join our expanding team.

​The role provides an opportunity to be involved in a variety of diverse transport related projects, from small residential schemes, to large mixed use developments.

 

The duties will include the following:

  • Obtaining, analysing and interpreting traffic data.

  • Reviewing development sites with regard to their accessibility by a range of transport modes.

  • Preparation of Transport Assessments/Statements and Travel Plans.

  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments using industry standard software such as Junctions 9 and LinSig.

  • Undertaking site visits. 

 

Key skills and experience:

  • A formal education in either Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or Geography. 

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office. 

  • Excellent communication skills, to liaise with colleagues and clients.

  • Ability to work within a team and also able work under own initiative. 

  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workload.

  • Accuracy and good attention to detail.
